The story

I drive a forklift for a living, and I wanted to buy a house. Every budgeting app I tried wanted me to sign into my bank through them before it would show me anything — and I wasn't handing a stranger the keys to my accounts just to see where my paychecks were going. So at night, after work, I built my own.

Wherewithal reads the statements your bank already gives you, sorts them with a little help from AI, and keeps the whole picture on your phone. There's no login button because there's nothing to log into.

Then came Vaultix, from the other side of my desk: several thousand trading cards, and a shelf of scanner apps that guess from the artwork. This one reads the card the way a collector does — it knows exactly which printing you're holding, not which picture it resembles.

No bank logins

Wherewithal never connects to your accounts. You import the files your bank already exports. Nothing to breach, nothing to revoke. And when you buy anything from us, Google or Apple process the payment — we never see your card.

No user accounts

There is no sign-up. No email, no password, no profile of you anywhere on any server we run.

No telemetry

The apps don't report on you. No analytics SDKs, no crash harvesters, no tracking pixels — including on this page.

Honest AI

When AI is used, it's disclosed, optional, and minimal. Merchant names with the digits stripped; statement text with your identity removed. The document itself never leaves your phone.

Nothing for sale

The price is the whole business model. A few dollars a month keeps the lights on precisely because we don't have your data to sell.
